Hello all....yes I am still alive and well in the blogging world, just been out of commission for a little while. I have decided to join the Nesting Place's linky party called "Lampapalooza." I love these parties. It is so much to check out other peoples decorating styles...my house just suffers a bit for it. Now on to the lamps/lights...

This is from the local habitat store. I painted it the pink and black..I am re-thinking the black but my husband says this was a tough one to put up so if I want to re-paint it I have to do it w/ it hanging...sounds like fun!! I may have paid $2 for this

and this I have had for a long time...I bought it for a $1 at some kind of sale along the side of the road (it was the kind where the stuff sits out on the table ALL year long). My dad re-wired it for me (before I was married or I am sure my husband would have) and here it is..don't mind the missing berry ring, I had used them in past for something else, then redecorated my bedroom and thought they belonged there.

this is another light I got from the habitat store here in town..this was maybe .75~ such a good deal!!

and this is my version of a "chandelier," the main living space of my house is primitive and I had been wanting a light like this for sooo long. I got this one from a friend who was changing up her style (lucky me)...I had to pay a little for it but nothing compared to retail!

and the final lamp on the "tour" is an antique lamp that my parents got for us as a housewarming gift...I apologize for the sideways photo...the other ones were taken at an angle this just didn't get turned. oops

thanks for stopping by!!

  2. Paint it with a brush! How often do you actually mess with a chandy? To change bulbs and clean it. You can do it!

  3. Thanks for sharing your lamps. I would paint the pink part black if you were me. But you aren't so you can paint it how ever you like. But I agree with Gina, paint it with a brush.

  4. Thanks for the comments on my blog.

Most of the boys' room wall decorations were from Gordman's...like the fish, the fishing lure art and the canteens. The bedding was from TJ Maxx (the comforters), the curtains were from Walmart! can you believe it? I never would have thought I would buy curtains there but they have really improved their selection.

Oh, the moose lamp was from Lowes...you might like one since you have a little Moose yourself.

I really like you lamp post...you have great ideas!

  5. Hi!

You had asked me where I get my little boys clothes and I wanted to 1st thank you for the nice compliment. I LOVE to shop. I buy lots of things at a store that is local to me called the Lily Pad and I also have a source that gets me the cute jon-jons and smocked stuff and VERY good prices. I sell them on ebay as well. If you are interested, let me know sizes and if I get something I can always email pics and let you buy them. They are around $15-$20 per outfit!
